What is a Zone OPTO?
A Zone OPTO is a battery/power unit that features a standardized 510 thread design used in the vaping industry. 510 refers to the type of connection port on the battery that is compatible with various vape cartridges, atomizers, and tanks.

How do I know if my vape cartridge is compatible with Zone OPTO?
Most vape cartridges and accessories available in the market are designed with 510 threading. You can check the product specifications or packaging to confirm compatibility. If it has 510 threading, it will work with a Zone OPTO.

How do I attach a vape cartridge to the AlignRite™ 510 Connector?
To attach a vape cartridge, simply screw it onto the 510 threaded connection of the battery. Ensure it is securely attached, but do not overtighten, as it might damage the threads.  To align the cartridge mouthpiece, simply twist counterclockwise until the desired alignment is achieved.

Can I use any type of vape tank with a Zone OPTO?
Yes, as long as the tank has a 510 threading, it will be compatible with a Zone OPTO. However, there are instances of defective cartridges that will not work with the OPTO.

How do I charge a Zone OPTO?
Zone OPTO comes with a USB-C charging port at the bottom of the device as well as a charging cradle. Use the provided USB cable to connect the battery to a power source such as a computer or a USB wall adapter. Charge until the screen shows that the battery is fully charged.

How long does it take to charge a Zone OPTO fully?
A fully discharged Zone OPTO will normally take approximately 1 hour to recharge. The indicator light around the button will glow white when the device is fully charged.

If the Opto has been left for an extended period (several months), the battery may become deeply discharged. In this case, the OPTO may need several hours to recharge the battery.

We recommend that you fully recharge the battery before leaving OPTO unused for a prolonged period.


Can I overcharge my Zone OPTO?
The Zone OPTO has built-in overcharge protection to prevent damage from overcharging. However, it is always a good practice to unplug the battery once it is fully charged to prolong its lifespan.


How long does a fully charged Zone OPTO last?
Flavor Mode is 100 draws, Zone Mode is 80 draws and Vapor Mode is 60 draws


Can I use my Zone OPTO while it’s charging?
No, the Zone OPTO does not support pass-through charging.


How do I clean my Zone OPTO?
To clean the battery, use a cotton swab or a cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the threaded connection and the surface of the battery. Avoid getting any liquid inside the battery. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and connectivity.


Cart Cover
The Cart Cover is intended to be used to protect the cartridge while not in use and slide on the bottom of the OPTO while vaping. The Cart Cover is not intended to protect the OPTO from all damage and is not waterproof, shock or shatter resistant.


What is Pre-heat mode and when would I use it?
Pre-heat mode uses a slight amount of ambient heat to change the viscosity of the cartridge and allow for great wicking to occur. Intended to be used in cold environments and to troubleshoot other cartridge related issues.


What can I do if the liquid in my cartridge becomes too thick to vape?
This is a common problem.  As you vape, the viscosity/thickness of the remaining liquid increases. To thin the liquid, simply activate the Preheat function once or twice.  The liquid will then flow properly and produce a nice cloud of vapor.


Cartridge is stuck
If the cartridge is stuck please use the preheat mode 1-3 times to sufficiently heat the cartridge base. If the carriage is still stuck, please contact Zone Customer Support.


What is Optimizing when the Zone OPTO is turned on?
The Zone OPTO is matching the resistance of the cartridge with the power output of the battery to ensure the cartridge does not overheat or malfunction.


I’ve screwed my cartridge in but the OPTO says it is not detected?
Remove the cartridge and make sure the screw thread is clear of any thing that would impede the connection. If dirty, clean with isopropyl alcohol, let the surface dry and install the cartridge again.  If the area is not dirty,  turn off the OPTO, screw the cartridge back into the OPTO and turn the power on again.  If it still doesn’t work, please try a different cartridge or contact customer service.
